I haven't been here for a long time. It was my favorite restaurant for a long time, but I ventured out and tried new things. As for the service: it was excellent at our table, our neighboring table had kinda crappy service..so I was just feeling grateful for our server who did a perfect job. The food was all wonderful! Salad was perfect..breadsticks are always good. I went with the selection where you pick your pasta, choose a sauce and add a meat if you like. This was a new feature I didn't remember them having before and I really liked it. We had no issues..it was all an enjoyable experience!

Yes its not you found this out of the way great little restaurant, that everyone has been dying to find." ITS A CHAIN restaurant. " All in all my experience with this particular chain has been fairly good. This one in Sioux City, IA. still falls into that category. Not going to go into what I had, Just that the service was good, appetizer and food came out on time. And it was what I expected. Its like any other corporate chain, Wendy's, McDonald's, Red lobster, all pretty much controlled by the mother ship. And for that matter we the people want consistency when we go to these places.

I've always had a great experience at Olive Garden. I love the wine sampling, and they'll let you get others as well. Service is always outstanding and the food is great. Since I'm not a pasta fan, I'm disappointed they took the mixed grill off the menu, but I was happy with my New York Strip. Salad and breadsticks are awesome. I will definitely be back!!

I was pleasantly surprised when we did not have to wait for a table on a Saturday night. The service was phenomenal. The food, on the other hand, was lacking. Even the soup was bland and my meatballs came complimentary with the taste of tin can.

Here is my suggestion if you are thinking about going to eat here.......Go with the soup, salad, and bread sticks for like $6.95. It will be plenty for you to eat. Maybe share an appetizer in addition to that. I learned the hard way, and have ordered an entree. I'm surprised a chain like this has so many inconsistencies in their food from visit to visit. One time the spaghetti is great, next time it's not edible.

Olive Garden salad sucks. Let's get that straight right away. If you feel different, Yelp it! Now the soups are all pretty good. I love the soups there. The gnocchi soup I had today was awesome. The grilled chicken spedini was essentially a shish kabob. I hate kabobs. HATE them! But the soup is good! The service is good, but if you arrive early you have to run a gauntlet of staff to get to your table. Not sure if I like that much attention.

Pretty good. People were nice and knew a bit about wine.

The all you can eat salad was made from old, brown, wilted iceberg lettuce. I asked for another salad and it was worse.

Meh...More chain restaurant crap. We got there at a fairly busy time and waited a while for a table. Not a big deal, but when we finally sat down, it seemingly took FOREVER to get a waitress by us. It seemed like 2 waitresses were sharing their sections and they clearly didn't communicate all that well. I don't like to ask for more water 800 times before getting more water. The salad and breadsticks were as expected. Overall, not my favorite Italian place, but the location is good if you're shopping in the area.

Went tonight for my birthday, there was five of us. Food was very good, service was great. The lemon cake was perfect. I have only one complaint, when we were seated we told them about the filth under our table, they apologized and said it would be cleaned, needless to say nothing ever was done. To me ,that is just gross! Clean the mess before you seat the next group please, just good practice.

We were seated at a dirty table and my chicken sorrento portion was burnt and small. The overall flavor was good. My wife was satisfied with her chicken parm portion. We were also seated near a table with four loud young children. Overall not a great experience.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
